Travelling by car
Coming from Germany:
via Munich/Rosenheim – Kufstein (A12 – Inntal Motorway) – Wiesing/Zillertal motorway exit – take the Zillertal federal road (B169) to Fügen-Süd, take the first exit at the roundabout – at the second roundabout, go straight on towards the Spieljochbahn.
Coming from Switzerland:
Head towards Innsbruck (A8) – then take the A12 Inntal motorway – Jenbach – take the Wiesing/Zillertal motorway exit – follow the Zillertal B169 until Fügen – South, take the first exit at the roundabout – at the second roundabout, go straight on towards the Spieljochbahn.
From the Spieljochbahn:
Continue along the main road for 12 km to Hochfügen. Pass the ‘Schiestl’ hotel, the ‘Hubertus’ hotel and the ‘Volksschule Pankrazberg’ primary school.
Stay on this road throughout; Hochfügen only comes into view at the very end. Enter Hochfügen (archway), then turn left immediately over the bridge. The hotel on your right is the Berghotel Hochfügen.
Important information
Hochfügen is situated in a side valley of the Zillertal at an altitude of 1,500 m and can be easily reached by car or by the regular bus service, which runs continuously between Fügen and Hochfügen throughout the day, via a well-maintained, two-lane mountain road. There is ample free parking available at the hotel.
